Gift Ideas.

November 28, 2009

I’m trying something a little new.  I will be offering jewelry products (including bracelet charms, pendants, etc.)  as well as keychains and ornaments with a photo(s) from your session.  These make terrific gifts for anyone, grandparents, Godparents, aunts… truly anyone!  As well as an idea for bridal party gifts, the possibilities are endless.  They are absolutely timeless and beautiful!  Please email me for more information or to see some samples.  Ordering for Christmas this year would have to be done by next week.forphotographers(3)

I had the pleasure of visiting the home of this beautiful family 2 weekends ago.  I have to say that they have one of the most incredible views from their house, overlooking a valley with a winding stream, able to watch the sunset.  Again though, we were fighting with wind and cold. But besides the wind blown hair look, we pulled through as the sun set.  Oh and thanks to mom saving 2 garbage bags full of leaves, we entertained her beautiful little girl and took her mind off the weather!family1family2family3family4family5family6family7

beautiful family.

November 11, 2009

not so beautiful weather.  It is always hard when organizing extended family for photos to coordinate dates and we had set this date weeks before.  We decided to go out anyways despite the call for freezing temperatures and rain.  It was cold, but everyone was so good, throwing jackets off for their turn in the photos, then quickly grabbing them to warm up.  All in all, with the weather and large family, we ended up getting some good shots.  Then were able to grab some shots of one couple at the end… when all the kids were done! ;) IMG_4426AIMG_4444AIMG_4445IMG_4509

We shot this session on the 29th of October in the morning. The day started out so nice, with the sun shining, which it seems it hadn’t been doing much of lately… so I was hopeful we’d be able to go to all the places i had planned out. But, the wind decided to make it’s presence and made for a pretty cold shoot. So, you can’t blame this little man when he decided pretty much right after getting out of the truck that it was too cold for him! But thanks to the worm in my camera that comes out only to capture happy smiley faces, we got some pretty good shots! It’s amazing how interested and concerned he was in watching for that worm, so cute! So, here you go mom, I know you were worried about how we did, hopefully this helps for some reassurance!

second shooter…

Shooting with Jana again, of Jana Kendall Photography back on the 10th of October.  I give full credit to this bridal party, especially the bride and groom for braving the freezing temperatures to capture some amazing images, which Jana did very well!  Here is a favorite I snapped of the day of the bride and groom and then some details!

memories

November 1, 2009

I was asked by this beautiful lady to take photos on a last minute “emergency” basis.  When the old “Uptown Apartment” building was burned down, the flames snuck across to the neighbors and burned the roof, causing enough damage to warrant it to be torn down as well.  This house happened to be home to her baba, but had been vacant for some time already.  Just the thought that the house was to be destroyed brought back all the childhood memories.  This is where i came in!  At the time the house had only a handful of days left before it was torn down, so she called me to go take pictures of her in (and out) of the house.  We also were able to get some photos in of her and her mom.  So timeless, glad I was able to capture these memories for her to have long after the house is gone…IMG_001IMG_2702AIMG_002IMG_2809AIMG_2817
