bubbles and tire swings.

This is it! The super fun kids with their beautiful mom who came all the way out from Ontario to visit family! This was my facebook status, where i said we did it all! Blew bubbles, waded in the water, played at the playground and finished the night off with ice cream!

You have beautiful kids, full of character and wonder! But you already know that… just remember that you, too, are beautiful inside and out. It was great to finally meet you! I look forward to keeping in touch and watching you progress with your photography! Thank you for asking me to capture these moments for you!!

newness.

After much anticipation, excitement and the wondering, this bright eyed, strong, big, beautiful girl made her way into her parents arms! We had to divide this session into two parts due to both their schedules and mine! So when baby was 4 days old, we photographed her with her daddy and then their first official family photo, then 4 days later we concentrated just on her and some of her with mommy! Let me tell you at 4 days old, i have never seen a more strong alert baby!

I just love the snuggles i get… actually, i think that’s why these sessions seem to last kinda long. Besides the feeding, burping, pooping, peeing and comforting, I find myself caught up in the cuddles!

oh and p.s. this is when mommy and daddy were patiently waiting for her arrival!

Mothers and daughters to be exact! What a session this was! If you know these girls you know fun, and we had plenty of it here! My tummy was sore the next day, you know that really good kind of sore. The kind with the fun memories! As much as i love my sessions for the photography, it’s just an added bonus when the memories made are a little personal for me!! It’s time. I imagine just as i type this, this baby is probably here. As the due date was a few days back and mom was in hospital before that date, I’m sure this family now has one more! I wanted to make it easy for you this year for mother’s day! What better gift to give mom then time with you, making memories! mothers day special 2010

Sessions are typically 1 1/2 – 2 hours and can consist of different locations, shots with your mom and her children, then some shots with mom and each of her children, just mom shots (which is always a fun way to feel great), ideas are endless!

Also, other family members can give a gift certificate to those mom’s with young children too!

* gift album may be exchanged for 3 5×7’s.

* session includes photographers time, 6×8″ soft album or 3 5×7’s, online password protected gallery of 30 – 50 final images and a proof slideshow of final images (these images are not able to be printed and are for viewing purposes only)

* additional orders extra with a 5% discount. As stipulated above, sessions booked for this mother’s day special must take place during the month of May 2010. Gift certificates purchased for this special must take place before June 15th. Gift certificates are transferable if session cannot take place within this time, however no album will be included.

We captured this little beauty’s sweet, pure innocence at 10 days old, and what an angel she was for the session, as you can see !

Again, i love so many aspects of this job, one being meeting people. Really, i meet the best people. This family was so welcoming and i just felt so comfy with them! three.

Last year i photographed this little guy for his 2nd birthday! You might remember, popping popcorn, squeezing lemons for fresh lemonade and going sliding outside, you can see the post on my old blog here!

He’s 3 now! I know, where does the time go? Seriously. Another afternoon spent painting, dancing and exploring. Even though he wasn’t feeling the greatest, we got some memorable shots. Normally we try to make the conditions ideal, ie. making sure the children are not hungry, tired or sick, but sometimes you just have to work with it. We had been trying to connect for quite a while, so we just made it work when the time for the session finally came, and this is a few of what we ended up with! _MG_9017A _MG_9018 _MG_9039 _MG_9056

bond.

I know first hand the bond a mom shares with her children. Not that we love them anymore than our boys, but the mother / daughter bond just seems so strong. I could see it here with this beautiful woman and her gorgeous daughter. This was a session that included so many different aspects. Starting off a glamour session with mom (before the kids came home from school), then we captured the sweet innocence of her little girl as soon as she came home from school. Then some of mom and her, and more glamour outside.

I can’t say it enough, how special it is to capture these moments. They will now have these images to look back on, with fond memories as to what they looked like, what they felt like, just bringing them back to that connection… long after the little girl is grown and embarking on life adventures of her own.

These images are just a select few of all the shots we got, i really had a super hard time narrowing it down. So this is what you get! Enjoy!
