Hi!  I just thought i would take a minute to pay some attention to the blog!  Not that i am ignoring it… just finishing up a couple sessions hoping to post those soon!  In the meantime, i thought it would be ok for me to just chat with you and keep in touch!

I’m not exactly sure what i wanted to talk about, i was hoping it would just come to me as i type… and re-type .

Let’s start with some thoughts, mine first.  Then i would love to hear from you.  I have exciting thoughts, looking forward to the months ahead, the sessions booked, the photography workshops (which is always fun, i think photography is something a person could learn about forever, there can be just sooooo much to it!), i am actually excited for all opportunities.  When you find something you love for yourself, the drive to improve and keep learning is so profound.  It’s just so challenging and fun!  I mean, i never felt this way throughout school.  I just did it, the best i could and graduated.  But now, holy, if i only had the money, i would be investing in so much photography gear, traveling, meeting new people and mentors!  I am excited this year to be learning and creating through the weddings, engagement, family and glamour shoots i have booked.  When i say this i mean learning both creatively and about the people i photograph.  I love the connection i feel with the people in front of the camera.  So one of my goals is to keep in touch, with all those who touch me.  I really want to encourage people to keep in touch with me too and ask questions about anything!

Also, i am excited about our trip to Mexico with the kids and our best friends in May , and the camping-evey-weekend summer!  (I leave from the camp site to go to weddings, almost always!)

I’m excited about the goals i have set out for myself personally and professionally…

Thanks for taking the time to read this.  It’s not too often i take the time to reflect personally on the blog.  I have always thought of this blog as a place for my business, but i think every now and then people want to know the real person behind the client posts…  I think i will try and take more time to do just that…

Even though the rush for the much anticipated Christmas season is upon us once again, so is the need to give to those less fortunate.  With all the chaos of the wish lists, shopping, baking, decorating along with regular everyday life, it is easy to forget about those little things we can do to help others out, that literally take a minute and maybe a few dollars.

Incredible photographers, Michele Dyson and Andrea Blair, have posted on their blogs “Cans for Comments” and is urging other photographers to do the same.  I think it is a great idea and I’m on board!

It’s really easy, we just need you to make this uber successful!!  All you need to do is leave a comment on my blog, starting today, December 1, on any post.  With each comment left i will donate a can of food to the much needed food bank in our community.  This will run until December 22.  I will also total up the amount of money spent on cans and equal it on a gift for Santa’s anonymous, hosted by our local fire departments.

So there you go!  Are you up for the challenge, spread the word, let’s see how generous we can be during this wonderful-yet oh-so-crazy time!

P.S.  Couldn’t post without something to look at.  I have been wanting you all to see what a print looks like on canvas, so here is a pretty good idea of a gallery wrapped canvas.  This is where the print is stretched around a 2 inch bar and wrapped around to the back.  Requiring no framing.  Just hang and LOVE!

Here is a christmas card sample!  No sillies… this isn’t the one she is sending!!  I just loved it and wanted to show you, it also has a back!

I’m trying something a little new.  I will be offering jewelry products (including bracelet charms, pendants, etc.)  as well as keychains and ornaments with a photo(s) from your session.  These make terrific gifts for anyone, grandparents, Godparents, aunts… truly anyone!  As well as an idea for bridal party gifts, the possibilities are endless.  They are absolutely timeless and beautiful!  Please email me for more information or to see some samples.  Ordering for Christmas this year would have to be done by next week.
