Shot mid October, this session was everything I had hoped it would be for this family!  The location, her family farm, had all the potential a photographer loves!  A gorgeous day, and a gorgeous family makes for, you guessed it, gorgeous images… I am so excited to see the canvas collection going up in their house!

Enjoy the memories we captured…

engagement. | .Athabasca wedding photographer

April 25th, 2012

Back in the fall I met this couple from St. Albert in Athabasca to shoot their engagement session.  This couple has since become our friends.  We spent a week with them in Mexico and feel like we have known them forever.  After emailing back and forth when she was given my name by a friend of hers, we booked to go to Mexico with them to shoot their wedding!  That post to come, but for now, here are some shots we got from their engagement session, that was short and sweet and the first time we met!

In case you are curious about the jewelry she is wearing, she just happens to make it!  Go and see all of her beautiful creations on her site here!!  So gorgeous and ALL made by hand!  I can’t wait to show you the what she gave me that she made!!  A true thoughtful gift for any woman in your life!

family fun. | .lac la biche family photographer

April 23rd, 2012

This is exactly what this was!  Fun times all together!  I have photographed this family several times and each time is so fun and unique, as we just let the kids be themselves and have fun!  No sitting still (well for very long anyways!), we blow bubbles, run around, laugh and play!  We did this session in October, so why not pull out the halloween costumes, since they were so awesome, Peter Pan and Hook!  Oh, and they took me for a spin in their truck too…

I am so honored to have had the opportunity to photograph this wonderful family time and again, and I look forward to the summer, when we will be photographing them along with grandma and grandpa and auntie and uncle!  It’s amazing how the kids change…

mother and daughter. | .Plamondon Family Photographer

April 16th, 2012

Sister in law and niece and aunt and cousin is who they are to us.  We are blessed to have them in our lives.  Our children look up to their big, beautiful cousin, love asking her questions and annoying her! ;)  And I simply can’t say enough about my incredible sister in law.  Never could I have imagined being in a family with someone like her.  Gives selflessly of herself, for anything, never a question asked.  She has helped in ways I know she doesn’t even realize.  My children adore her and can’t get enough of the love she continually shows.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for me and my family in the last 18 years.  It NEVER goes unrecognized and unappreciated.  I was honored to have the opportunity to share in the special connection you have with your beautiful daughter and I believe it shows how much you mean to her.  For her to have this idea as a Christmas present to you is one that you will both have to cherish and remember for years and years to come.  Thank you.  We love you both.  And next time your hubby is in the shots, whether he likes it or not! ;)

dare and believe. | . engagement photographer

April 11th, 2012

This post is of my little sister and her fiancé.   Gorgeous, right?!   Not only are they beautiful together, they compliment each other in every way. They work together to raise her son, who loves him to pieces and are continuing to grow in love, to learn and to be whole together. I am so happy for them and am looking forward to their Mexico wedding in November! I love you both so much and pray that God blesses you with patience, understanding, and most of all, love forever. Thank you for coming down from Grande Prairie so we could do your engagement photos where you got engaged, Sir Winston Churchill Park in Lac La Biche!

Gifts. | .Plamondon Family Photographer

March 12th, 2012

In so many ways this session shows gifts.  We go wwaaaayy back with this family.  My husband and this dad are the closest of friends and have been since before I came into the picture, so we are talking 20+ years and more!  This family is a gift of friendship for us!  We share God children, they are our middle son’s Godparents and we are their youngest daughters Godparents!  This session was a Christmas gift from our son to his Godparents, we finally got the chance to shoot it last fall!  Enjoy the images we captures in his dad’s yard just outside our town of Plamondon!

the mud mistress family. | .plamondon family photographer

February 27th, 2012

I just love this family!  Gorgeous twin girls, full of energy and giggles, and completely ADORABLE!  Their dad is the proud co-owner of the famous Mud Mistress.  He races it in our annual Plamondon Mud Bogs, not to mention all over with the Canadian Mud Racing Organization.  I wish I could give you specifics on the make, model and year, but I really don’t know it.  All I know, is everyone loves to watch our local friend race it!

We went to a very fun location just outside of Lac La Biche, with all sorts of timeless treasures!  We had a great time creating memories for this family to cherish always!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with the photography for your family.

memories. | .Plamondon Family Photographer

February 15th, 2012

Yay me, i did it!  Blogged twice in a week, just like I said I would! ;) I’m so proud of myself right now!

Another story of clients turned friends!  I met them last April, when i shot their maternity session, and was so inspired by them and their natural lifestyle.  Solar and wind powered house, their garden, chickens and all sorts of amazing things that i admire so much!  The kind of people who are easy to talk to and always interesting!

Instead of a newborn shoot, this family wanted photos of their family and new little guy when he was 3 months.  When he was full of smiles and could hold himself up and interact!

* Just a note about the last 2 images, that is my daughter who helps me with my sessions that are of children, at the end of this session they showed her the chicken coop and she got to pick fresh eggs for us to bring home!!  She thought it was pretty cool!

I’m going to try and do something crazy here… blog every second day for this next week!  There, I said it, it’s out there, now the pressure is on! ;) September was a busy month, photographing families and engagements in the gorgeous weather we had!

We were planning this session for about 4 months, I think it was all we had anticipated!  With the perfect location to compliment their farming background!
